We don’t have an IoT strategy or "smart" hardware yet. Can we still use intelliThings?
Absolutely. You don’t need to be a software expert to begin. We offer IoT Gateways that can be retrofitted to your existing machinery. This means your proven hardware becomes "smart" without a costly redesign, allowing you to bridge the gap from "offline" to "online" in weeks, not years.

What are "Credits" and how do they work?
Credits are the essential "fuel" for your project on our platform and cover the processing power and data movement required for your operations. Each plan includes a specific monthly allowance: the Developer plan provides 50 credits, the Startup plan offers 1,000 credits, and the Deployer plan includes 2,500 credits. These credits are consumed when your devices send data via the MQTT endpoint, when the rules engine triggers an automated workflow, or when you utilize advanced features like custom Python code and AI models.
What do I get for 1 Credit?
One intelliThings Credit opens up a world of possibilities for your IoT projects, giving you the flexibility to decide exactly which features benefit your products the most. A single credit covers up to 1.3 million MQTT messages to handle your cloud communication, or it can be used for up to 250,000 workflow executions to manage complex data processing. Additionally, one credit provides up to 2.5 GB of storage for object data like images, AI models, or databases. The total number of credits available to you each month is determined by your specific subscription plan
What happens if I run out of Credits?
If your project grows faster than expected, your operations will not simply stop. The Startup and Deployer plans are designed for scalability, allowing you to extend your capabilities with more credits or utilize on-demand scalability via purchasable credits. This ensures that as your fleet of devices expands, your software infrastructure scales automatically to meet the demand.
Where is my data hosted and how is it protected?
Data security is a fundamental pillar of our platform, especially for industrial clients who require the highest levels of protection. All information is transmitted using high-level encryption and stored on secure servers that comply with strict European data protection standards. You retain full ownership and control over your data at all times, ensuring your company’s intellectual property and customer information are never compromised.
Can I connect my own existing hardware or am I tied to your gateways?
Our platform is built on open standards to prevent "vendor lock-in," meaning you are not tied to our hardware. While our gateways provide the easiest "plug-and-play" experience, the inclusion of a standard MQTT endpoint in every plan, from Developer to Deployer, allows you to connect any MQTT-capable device or your own custom-built hardware directly to the platform.
What if the visual tools aren't enough for my specific math or logic?
While our graphical workflow editor is designed to handle most industrial automation tasks, we provide deeper flexibility for experts. You have the ability to execute custom Python code directly within your workflows, ensuring that complex mathematical calculations, specific data transformations, or unique logic requirements can be handled without any platform limitations.
